Flawless. Even my dad uses it : D
My dog has anxiety in new places and with new people, so taking her for nail trimmings has been a stressful experience for us both. Home nail clippers were not an option for my scared pup. After months of paying someone else to trim her nails, I watched some videos online and read guides of how to use grinders and decided to pick one up for myself. I can now trim her nails with no sharp edges at our own pace, daily if necessary to get all of the paws done and maintain a short length. The grinder obviously makes a bit of noise, but is not enough to scare away my pup, and on the low setting does not seem to agitate her. We are still building up stamina to get more nails one at once, but she tolerates this and I'm not afraid of accidentally clipping her quick or jerking, sudden movement from her. It's really hard to mess up with this grinder. The charge holds long enough to do all of her nails without speeding through, and it's lightweight enough that your hand won't get tired holding it. Very happy with this purchase.
Works great...
This came j quickly and is rather easy to use. Worth it
Fast delivery and super device
Thank you very much. Short delivery time, everything works as it should :) I recommend the store ;)
My dog had been going to the same vet for almost 3 yrs and grooming her nails was no big deal until recently. The last 3 times I had taken her in to have her nails done, she would not allow it. They must have hurt her or were overly aggressive with her. I’m not sure, but she’s thrashed around so much that it was unsafe to even try. She was a mess to say the least. Sedatives didn’t even work, Even with quite an increase in the dosage. Sooo clipping was completely out of the picture for her. She didn’t even like having her feet touched at all, even by me now. I decided to take my time with her and try this Casfuy grinder due to all the positve feedback. I had to have a lot of patience and not rush. I took a week getting her to trust me touching her feet and get use to seeing the grinder and then later just pretending I was grinding her nails, but with it turned off, all done with treats of course. Then I tried it on low speed one just one nail for 1-2 seconds. She let me and was rewarded a few pieces of shredded cheese. This went on day after day till now I am able to do all her nails grinding off just a small amount on each at low speed. If she started getting uncomfortable at any time I’d just stop and step back a step or two, like turn it off and pretend again till she was comfortable then moved forward again. In the beginning I rewarded her with all positive behavior. Now I can do one foot on high speed and treats, then do two feet if all goes well, then reward. I will get to the point where she will be rewarded really bigly once all her feet are done at one time, then once a week thereafter to keep them short. My dog weighs 97 lbs is large, so doing things for her takes more time. When I started, her very thick **nails were terribly over grown of course. It’s just a matter of trust. I make her feel as relaxed in the situation as I can and go from there slowly. It may take longer, but the rewards are far better and we’re both happier. Just take your time and it should work for you too. The grinder itself is very, very quiet as others have stated. I believe if it had been louder than it is, this may have not worked as easily for my dog. Her nails are also big, thick black nails so I can only do with the guard off, but the control is comfortably amazing with this grinder. Compared to a regular Dremel where I could easily slip and rip into the bottom of her paw pads. I am so thrilled with this little gem. It will take longer, but I don’t care. My big girl and I are no longer stressed out by having to have her nails clipped by the vet, and possible injury to her quick's, etc., no drugs needed anymore, plus I’m saving money. Win! Win! My hat’s off to you for this product. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!! **Remember for dark nails: STOP once you start seeing the small white dot in the center of the dog’s nail bottom. When that starts showing, that’s the start of the quick. Going past that is very painful and your dog may not let you try again later.
Wow!!! I have had 3 dog nail grinders in the past. This one beats all of them by far!! The other ones had good reviews on Amazon and did the job, but this one goes above and beyond. It it very quiet on both settings, which is great, especially for skittish pups. It is sooo fast! I have 3 dogs and it would take several minutes per dog, about 30 minutes total. Not with this one. All 3 were done in less than 10 and they were much shorter and looked better than when using the other grinders. It also didn't get nearly as hot as the other ones do. I am very impressed. The packaging is nice. It has everything you need. The company sent paper manuals, but also an email copy. There is also a lifetime warranty. I would definitely recommend this grinder to any dog owners!
This is the second nail grinder I purchased for use with my 7 pound maltipoo. The first one we purchased was too loud and after several tries, I gave up on it. THIS ONE, however, is much quieter PLUS it gave helpful hints to get pets accustomed to having their nails done. I tried it as suggested; with a handful of treats on the counter right next to the grinder, which was turned on. After a few minutes of feeding her treats next to the grinder, I simply picked up her paw and began using it on her nails. She turned her head away a bit, but kept on eating her treats while I was filing her nails! HORRAY!!
This grinder was quick and easy to use on my 3-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer. While she's still fairly young and new to/scared of most things, she didn't seem to be bothered at all during the filing. I used the slower setting with the bigger filing top and it was very quiet. I love the fact that it's larger and extremely easy to hold, no slippage whatsoever! I actually clipped her nails prior to using this, but soon realized the grinder is so efficient that I can eliminate that step in the future! Her nails came out perfectly rounded with no sharp edges. Afterwards, she happily ran around the yard for hours while my husband finished building the fence, then promptly passed out for a nap once inside. She's happy, I'm happy, outstanding product! It's definitely a time saver and easier to maneuver than clippers. Instructions were easy to follow and a charger was included.
Works quietly, the sound does not scare the dog
Super fast shipping! Received 4 days later, shipped from U.S. Great packaging, nice looking product. Will purchase from this store again!
Product arrived as advertised! Recommend!
I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this one warranted one! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund and trimming nails has always been rough!! Screaming and biting (from the dog). I’ve tried other nail grinders and she was terrified of them. I came across this one and thought I’d give it a try. It took only 5 minutes to do ALL FOUR paws! She held perfectly still and didn’t fight me a single bit!! She even wagged her tail when we were done!! Hallelujah I think we found the tool for us!!!
My dog hates having her nails trimmed but she doesn't mind this at all. I trimmed her nails fairly short with a regular clippers to begin with and I now use this weekly to keep them short. A little desensitization training at first is helpful. I started by just turning it on and then giving her a treat. After doing this a few times, I tried it on her nails-just one foot at a time and then I would give her a break. I did all 4 feet by the end of the day this way. She really just didn't pay any attention to it at all. Now I can do all 4 feet at the same time and she just lays there. It works best on high. I do think it would be difficult to start with long nails and trim them short with this, but it is great used regularly to keep them short once you have trimmed them short with a traditional trimmer.
Hi, got this in the mail yesterday and finally tested it out. The appearance is nice. It's easy to grip in your hand. It has a nice weight to it. Not too heavy but yet it does not feel cheaply made like other products. The price is good for the product you get. There's a few different speeds so you have options for your dog. Both are pretty quiet so they didn't scare my dog. I like the protective guard around the nail grinder so you don't cut anything but the nail. I think it would be great for dogs that have thicker, hard to cut nails or if you prefer a nail grinder compared to nail clippers. Great little product for on the go needs because it will fit right in your purse, diaper bag or even your pants pocket. Definitely worth spending on.
I have a 100lb dog. The first day I got the grinder, I left it in the "on" position on the floor next to him for 20 min. He wasn't too sure about the funny vibration it made and eyed it warily. The second day I did the same thing then picked it up, with the cap on, and gently touched it to his haunches so he could feel the vibration. Again he wasn't too sure about it. With the cap on, I picked up his front paw, secured the nail between my 2 fingers and touched the capped grinder to his nail. He looked at me like I was nuts. The entire time I spoke softly and gently to him. I then removed the cap and gently touched the grinder to his nail for only a second. He flinched a little but didn't pull his paw away. I then proceeded to grind only 1 nail in quick gentle strokes. Success!!! No angry dog! I will proceed with each nail a day at a time until he gets used to the feeling.
I just finished trimming the rest of Max's nails & immediately hopped on here to write a review. The trimmer arrived yesterday & since Max traditionally does NOT like vibrating objects, I knew it would take a little time til he accepted it, & yet less than 24 hours later we're all done! First I let him sniff it, then rewarded him, then turned it on & rewarded him, touched it to his body & rewarded him, touched it to his nail & rewarded him, when back a couple of steps, went forward a couple of steps, & this morning I stuck a tube of peanut butter between my feet & he let me trim ALL of his nails. This is HUGE! Since adopting Max, I've made a valiant effort with traditional nail clippers, which led to three instances of Max bleeding stoically all over the kitchen while I cried with a handful of flour. The other alternative has been having his veterinary team cut his nails while he's under anesthesia for surgery (while awake/at a groomer is NOT an option -- he's muzzled at the vet when awake cos he does NOT like being crowded/held), but I definitely can't spend my time waiting around for him to conveniently (?) need more surgery. This trimmer is a godsend! I also registered for the lifetime warranty so let's see how we go with that.
This is an excellent nail grinder! The price was very reasonable when I was first looking for one and this is nice and compact looking and lightweight. There is a guard near the grinder to prevent the nail bed getting caught in the grinder. Which is 2 speed. The lower speed setting is nice to introduce the situation to your dog, then flip to the higher setting to get the nails ground quick. And boy does it do it quick! My boxer is a nut about her nails no matter who or what is used. With this, I was able to grind them down fairly quickly and easily without worrying so much about how far I'm clipping of her nail as I have her in a full Nelson. Haven't tried to use it on my cats though. I'm not ready for an ER trip yet. But seriously, this worked great for my little tank of a boxer! And its USB compatible so no replacing expensive batteries every month :)
I have two Pomeranians that are very fearful of anything to do with their nails. I’m able to stay calm while I do it, but it upsets both of them and is a chore often put off because of that reason. I can’t tell you how shocked I am by how QUIETLY & quickly this machine takes down their nails. It completely annihilates them!!! Usually the sandpaper drum that is on the other dog nail sanders that I own heat up to the uncomfortable point that it burns their “quick”, and they tell me when it hurts because they are scrambling to get out of my arms when it happens. With this little machine I was down to the quick and literally IN to the quick and she STILL didn’t move! I felt the nail immediately and it wasn’t even hot like the sandpaper drum gets!! I was done with her nails and I kid you not that dog looked at me like I was tricking her when I told her she was all done! LOL THIS TOOL IS AMAZING! It really REALLY is. you wont regret this purchase if you get one.
I used this on my Chi for the first time today and loved it. She’s always so traumatized by the grooming visits, this will be a lifesaver. We did like suggested and gave her a small treat each time we used it. That pup loves her turkey. She never tried to jerk away so I felt reassured that it was uncomfortable for her.
This grinder is extremely quiet. We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't loud at all. It is very easy to use. It charges well, is comfortable to hold and the size is perfect for quickly maneuvering around and grinding all of the nails. It is very effective and leaves nicely filed, smooth edges in a short amount of time. Both of our dogs just sprawled out, while my husband used this grinder on their nails. Since it is so quiet, there was no loud noise to disturb them. It does a great job and does it fast. So fast, that the dogs acted like it was a day at the spa. I would highly recommend this product. It checks all of the boxes and more of what one should expect in a grooming tool.
I really like this nail filer! I bought another brand previously that freaked out my dogs. This one is very quiet and easy to hold my dog in my arm and her paw out and the nail filer in the other. I posted a pic to show the size. My pups are 9 &11 pounds. I have only used once, so I can’t say for sure how long the charge lasts yet, but very happy with it so far.
Takes a while to grind down the nails and I noticed some nail splitting the next day on the nails I filed. My dog gets nervous with grinding down the front nails because of the noise of the file. He doesn't seem to mind the grinding as much when I'm doing his back paws. I hate cutting my pets' nails so this is a great way to trim nails without cutting. This is less traumatic for me and my dog and even though it takes longer to cut the nails it's worth it.
My small dog would not allow me to clip her nails. She would literally scream which unnerved me. As a result, I was paying the vet $10.00 to clip her nails and the dog would scream all through the process which the vet ignored. Purchased a pet trimmer several years ago which ran on batteries and used sand paper. Did not work very well. Purchased this trimmer and for the first time, I am able to trim the dog's nails myself. The dog not only does not scream, she remains calm while trimming her nails. I can even trim the dew claw. The trimmer is easy to use, allows me to shape the nail, is very quiet, and works perfectly.
They started right away. The dog stood steady. Saw well. From the nippers, our pet just runs away and hides. Charging is probably not enough. In general, the thing is necessary and convenient. The size is about 15 cm although the photo seems more. Shipping Super shipment without slowing down. I recommend.
Our 2 fur babies HATE to get their nails clipped. My hubby found this and said we need to try it so we ordered. Our order arrived on time and we immediately hooked it up to charge in order to try it out the next day. LOVE that this nail grinder is so darn quiet as this helps tremendously with my dogs anxiety over this ritual. I modified a shopping bag in which we put our little one in. My hubby did the grinding and I hold his head and talk to him while the job gets done. We get on the floor with our bigger dog and again hubby did the grinding while I talk sweet nothings in her ear. We drew no blood on either of our pets which that in itself is great! Overall, there was less pulling back by both dogs and I know the quietness of this grinder was a huge help. Our goal is to be able to get our dogs nails to the proper length and we believe we can achieve that with this grinder. We have tried different grinders before but they were loud and very hard to hold and work with. This little machine was great and we love that there was no cord. Don't hesitate to order this one!
We have tried EVERYTHING to trim our dogs nails, but she freaks out and cries out every time. I'm mean you would think we are killing her. We ended up taking her to the vet, 1st time was a success, 2nd time and after they had to sedate her. Sedating her no longer works because we discovered she has a heart condition. So for a while I would have to sneak up to her while she was sleeping and clip maybe one nail and wait for her to fall asleep again, but after a few nails I quit cause I didn't want to make sleeping stressful for her. So in comes the Casfuy nail grinder. Man what a lifesaver!! I spent about a week and a half getting her accustomed to it. First letting her smell it, hear it with the motor running, then rubbing her with it while it was off, ALWAYS giving her her favorite treats. Eventually I was rubbing her with it with the motor on but I had to cut a cheap 12 pound brisket (it was $1.95/lb) and cook it little by little fast and on HIGH heat. Anyone that knows brisket will tell you that makes for a really chewy piece of meat, which is exactly what I wanted so she had to take her time. Eventually, while she was eating her brisket, I started grinding her nails. Just one nail, touched it twice, 2 seconds each touch. Let her eat, then about a minute later do it again. Just long enough to where she would just start to notice then I'd stop. Next time I did a whole nail, 8 touches, 2 seconds each touch. Next day, two nails. I was still using the brisket. Later that afternoon, I did a whole paw. Next day it was two paws. I left them just a little long cause the last thing I wanted was to hurt her while she was learning. Now, 3 weeks after it arrived I still give her treats though I don't think I really need them, I can do all 4 paws in about 2 minutes as long as I don't let them grow to much. The noise is not loud at all, it's easy to handle, charges good and has a good long charge. You could probably do 15 dogs on one charge easy, maybe even twice that. Only suggestion I would make to someone buying it is to put some grip tape on it or wrap a bunch of rubber bands around it. It is easy to hold but when you adjust it to get different angles it would be easy for it to fumble out of your hands if they are wet or sweaty.
We used to use a dremel and this product is much easier to use. 1st off it’s cordless which is very convenient and the wheel grinds better than the sandpaper lined dremel tips. The durability seems great and is very easy to hold and maneuver. I would highly recommend this for smoothing down your dog’s nails.
I have always taken my dogs to the vet for nail trims. BUT, after losing one of our dogs we ended up with another puppy. And he is a handful. We got the three strikes and we were out (sort of) we took him in to get his nails trimmed, and on all three occasions he decided to not cooperate. After the third time we were told in order to trim his nails he would require sedation which would cost $80 and then the $15 nail trim on top. Well the only reason I would take our dogs to the vet for their nails to be cut was convenience, but I was not going to be an extra $80 for him to just get his nails cut. I love my vet but I just was not going to pay almost $100 for a damn nail trim. So. I looked up what I could do myself at home to make my life a little easier and not be clawed to death by this 80lb puppy. I was a little hesitant at first because it was a nail grinder and I was worried how he would react. But after turning it on around him to get him used to the sound I made my attempt to grind his nails. The first few times were a challenge, he can be kinda a jerk. But he is totally fine with it now. And our other dog gets her nails done too. So it was a win-win. I no longer have to go to the vet for expensive nail trims, it is an incredibly easy to use item. The dogs do need to be slowly introduced to the sound (which is low, but obviously not for them) and the feel took a little time for our puppy to be okay with. But other than that it is perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Very pleased.
Train our dog daily & dog class 3x p/wk. Roxy is smart. Spent a wk training her but still very spooked w/ grinder. I replied to the seller's inquiry that she is afraid of it. Unexpectedly I got a refund with no questions asked. I continued to train and started accepting it after 4 more days. I basically turned it on and touched the dogs paws all over with it vibrating without actually grinding anything for a minute at a time per paw. She is still not 100% good with it but has started to accept it. I let seller know that I will pay for it but they replied that they were ok with us just keeping it. The customer service is excellent. I believe that they realize that not all dogs will take to it and they take it upon themselves to just give you a refund. The let you keep the product which simplifies everything. Point is, there is little to no risk in trying this product out. Buyers need to be patient with some dogs. Our dog specifically had an issue with the buzzing sound. No issues with the vibration which I think would have surfaced when it touches her paw. In our case, at least 2 weeks, several times a day of turning it on around her and just touching her with the unit with the cap on. We even massaged her with it on while it was vibrating. Now we are able to grind her paws.. maybe 2 nails at most each session and working up to a paw before she starts squirming. It is effective and takes about a minute per nail to grind and shape.
